What is wiCode, and how does it work?

wiCode is a digital payment method that allows you to deposit and withdraw money using a unique code at participating retailers. Simply generate a wiCode in the SOLmate app and use it to complete your transaction at checkout.

How do I deposit money using wiCode?

  • Open the SOLmate app and click “Receive money”
  • Choose "wiCode Deposit" as your top up method
  • Enter the amount and generate your unique wiCode
  • Visit a participating retailer and provide the wiCode at the till to complete your deposit

Where can I deposit money using wiCode?

You can deposit at any of the following participating retailers: Shoprite, Checkers, and Usave.

Are there any deposit limits?

Yes, maximum deposit per day is R15 000, maximum deposit per month is R24 000.

Is there a fee for depositing money via wiCode?

The transaction fee is 1.75% (minimum R14)

How long does it take for my deposit to reflect?

Deposits via wiCode are processed instantly. If you experience any delays, please contact our support team.

Withdrawals

How do I withdraw money using wiCode?

  • Open the SOLmate app and click “Send money”
  • Choose "wiCode Withdrawal" as your withdrawal method
  • Enter the amount and generate your unique wiCode
  • Visit a participating retailer, present your wiCode, and receive your cash

Where can I withdraw money using wiCode?

You can deposit at any of the following participating retailers: Shoprite, Checkers, Usave, and Pick n Pay.

Are there any withdrawal limits?

Yes, maximum withdrawal per day is R10 000, maximum withdrawal per month is R24 000.

Is there a fee for withdrawing money via wiCode?

Yes, there is a flat fee of R6 for all withdrawal transactions.

Does my wiCode expire?

Yes, both deposit and withdrawal wiCodes expire after 15 minutes.

What should I do if my wiCode doesn’t generate successfully?

Wait 5 minutes and try again. If the issue continues, please reach out to our support team.

Can I generate multiple wiCodes at once?

No, you can only generate one wiCode at a time.
